Christian Muise

I’m an Assistant Professor in the School of Computing at Queen’s University, where my research explores how intelligent systems can make decisions under uncertainty. My work combines ideas from automated planning, machine learning, and reasoning to better understand and model sequential decision-making. Before joining Queen’s, I completed my PhD at the University of Toronto, followed by postdoctoral research at the University of Melbourne and MIT. I also spent time in industry as a research scientist with the MIT-IBM Watson AI Lab. At Queen’s, I’m part of Ingenuity Labs and the Scotiabank Centre for Customer Analytics, serve as a Faculty Affiliate with the Vector Institute for Artificial Intelligence, and co-direct the Master’s of Digital Product Management program. I also serve on the ICAPS Council and the Editorial Board of the Artificial Intelligence Journal (AIJ).
